The Unlucky Boy and the Absurd Detective

In a crowded dormitory near an old canal, students were busy with their dense curriculum. Among them lived two unusual roommates. The first was an unlucky boy who only wanted a quiet life. The second was his eccentric friend, known as the “Absurd Detective,” who believed that every event was the result of a conspiracy.

One recent tropical night, an incident disturbed the entire dormitory. The estate funds were suddenly broke, and a detailed bill revealed a definite deficiency. The residents panicked, worried about costly meals, deficient furniture, and the broken toilet that never seemed to be repaired.

The Absurd Detective immediately built up his own theory. “This is a case!” he shouted. The unlucky boy had been the last person in charge of the dormitory’s accounts. Everyone else began to suspect him, but the Absurd Detective did not.

Instead, the eccentric detective devised new ideas. He perceived every anxious face as suspicious, every heavy backpack as proof of fraud. His dynamic but absurd logic attracted an audience, turning the investigation into a comedy show.

Meanwhile, the real villain—a quiet and conservative student—was forging documents in secret. He was siphoning money into his own account, confident that the fools’ chaos provided perfect cover.

Fate, however, played a trick. When the Absurd Detective was stuck in his investigation, he tripped over a pile of express packages, collided with the unlucky boy, and together they broke open a locked cabinet. Inside were forged documents, secret bills, and undeniable evidence of fraud.

The dormitory gasped. The Absurd Detective shouted, “We did it, partner! Thanks to you, we’ve found the real culprit!” The unlucky boy muttered, “…Maybe being unlucky isn’t so bad after all.”

The true villain was expelled, and the dormitory revived. Daily life began to run smoothly again. The students blessed the two fools, and the Absurd Detective proudly declared, “We are the heroes who saved this dormitory!”

Thus, the legend of the unlucky boy and the Absurd Detective was born. Though ridiculous, their chaos coincided with justice. In the end, the real villain was eliminated, and certain peace returned to the dormitory.
